Daniel Pink and his books hold a fair share of shelf space in my professional library, his insights on what motivates us are fascinating and I can't recommend his books Drive and To Sell is Human enough, seeing him drop knowledge bombs at this past year's CUPA-HR National Conference was awesome to say the least... but I digress; for more on Pink's thoughts on being better, check out the clip below from a TEDTalk he gave in 2009 (it's a few years old, but the lessons are as fresh as ever):
